SEPARATE TRUTH FROM FACTS ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Oghene, who fit dey for your tent? Who fit live for your holy hill? Na who dey waka straight, dey do wetin good, dey talk truth for e heart (Psalm 15:1-2). For John 8:32, Jesu talk say, 'Una go know the truth, and the truth go make una free.' The truth wey e dey talk about na the truth for God's side, wey different from fact. Fact dey and truth dey. Truth na reality, but no be all fact be truth. Fact fit be truth, but e fit no be truth forever. For example, doctor fit talk say Christian get tumour or infection for e body; that one na fact, no be truth. Wetin be the truth for this matter? The truth na the Word of God wey dem show about your health as Christian. The growth fit dey there, but the Word of God, wey be the TRUTH and reality, talk say you dey perfect for Christ (1 Peter 2:24). Comot your eye from physical fact and put your mind for the reality of God's Word, wey confirm your divine health. Na wetin faith dey do: e dey change fact by no dey give dem attention, consideration or recognition. Mark the words of the Master: E no talk say, 'Una go know the facts, and the facts go make una free'; E talk say 'Una go know the truth, and the truth go make una free.' The truth of God's Word na wetin dey deliver you from the 'facts' of life. So, you go dey reckon with, and dey talk only, 'the truth,' wey be God's Word: '...your word na truth' (John 17:17). Our opening verse dey talk about speaking the truth for your heart; how you go speak the truth for your heart? E dey start with thinking the truth for your heart. Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, the truth wey I dey live by today and every day. Your Word don give me light and understanding, and don strengthen my faith to hold all wey you don give me for Christ Jesus. I dey live triumphantly, dey make my way prosperous, as I dey live in, and by, your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Salvation Prayer
O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He's alive today.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I'm born again.
Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I'm now a child of God. Hallelujah!
